Elastin helps make you beautiful.
We make beautiful elastin.
Our goal is to unlock the therapeutic potential of elastin.
Why elastin?
Every breath. Every heartbeat. Every smile.
Elastin is a critical protein found in nature that endows tissues with both elasticity and strength. It's indispensable for our vital organs, blood vessels, and skin. Through its impressive flexibility, elastin enables tissues to stretch and recoil, accommodating the dynamic movements of your body.
Elastin grants your skin its remarkable resilience, bounce, and ability to maintain delicate curves and contours. Unfortunately, nature has not provided us with a way to replenish elastin once it is lost. That’s where we come in.
-
Resilient
Elastin provides the natural resilience and youthful “bounce back” elasticity to your skin. It’s nature’s elastic band and is 1,000x more “stretchy” than collagen.
-
Durable
Elastin is built to last a lifetime. In nature, elastin has a half-life of over 75 years. In nature, most collagen and hyaluronic acid typically last for only weeks or days.
-
Flexible
Elastin is a natural substance produced by our bodies that plays many vital roles in our bodies for the skin, lungs, heart valves, joints, arteries, and more.
This is TEL219
TEL219 is the first candidate product to emerge from our proprietary elastin development platform. It’s TruElastin’s preclinical phase, natural elastin dermal filler.
There are three main structural components of the skin: collagen, hyaluronic acid & elastin. While the first two have been used in dermal fillers before, elastin remained elusive.
Using patented purification, crosslinking & sterilization methods, we were able to design what aims to be the world’s first family of elastin fillers.
Learn more about TEL219
-
TEL219 is derived from natural elastin, which is purified, crosslinked with antioxidants to ensure stability and resilience, and sterilized for safety.
-
Dermal fillers generally work by “taking up space” and physically lifting the upper layers of skin, or by stimulating the body to produce its own structural proteins and tissues. TEL219 was designed to achieve both.
-
Today’s dermal fillers exhibit a range of physical properties and “lifting power”. By modifying elastin content and deploying with a range of carriers, we are able to achieve an impressive range of rheologic properties while maintaining excellent ease of extrusion.
-
The “big three” structural components of the skin include elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. Elastin has been elusive as a soft tissue filler, as it’s challenging to purify without damaging its unique physical properties. Truelastin’s technology overcomes this barrier, and our goal is to make an elastin filler a reality with TEL219.
TEL219 has not yet been evaluated by the FDA.
It is not yet approved for clinical use.
